Jack Shanahan graduated from ATU Galway in 2024 with a First Class Honors Degree in fashion & Textile Design. His graduate collection, Utopia, was nominated for the ArtSpace studio residency award 2024.

Shanahan views fashion design as another artistic vessel, complimenting his interests in music, dance, photography and sculpture. His creative process begins with world building and storytelling, and inspirations come from music, feelings and movements. He works instinctively, with a hands-on approach in the early design stages.

Since leaving university, Shanahan has completed an internship with Colin Horgan, whom he credits as one of his primary inspirations, as a fellow Irish designer.

Shanahan launched his namesake brand in 2025, coinciding with his runway debut at the inaugural Ireland Fashion Week, where his Saltwater collection closed out the very first IFW Graduate Show.
